Malta Company Formation Process
A company registration primarily involves the reservation of the company’s name with the Malta Financial Services Authority, a deposit of the issued share capital into a local bank account opened in the name of the company and the submission of a signed memorandum and articles of association to the Maltese Registrar of Companies. The memorandum and article of association must be signed by all the shareholders of the company or their representatives.
Provided that all the documentation is in hand, and is as specified in the Companies Act, Chapter 386 of Law of Malta, the incorporation process is usually finalised within 24 to 48 hours. A certificate of registration is then issued in respect thereof.
